Bloom Book Club

Forget the bucket lists that have us
escaping our everyday lives for exotic experiences.
How do we find joy in the midst of deadlines,
 debt, drama, and daily duties?

Book lovers, it's time for the next book from Bloom (In)Courage! I love the title of this next book, One Thousand Gifts, by Ann VosKamp. I have been reading Ann's blog for a few years and often participate in her "Multitude Monday" and "Walk With Him" Check out her blog, you will be hooked, if you aren't already :)  I got my book in the mail yesterday, read the first chapter and I've already cried! I am not a crier..it's deep, straight from the heart of God! Join me, join me, join me! Please! You will be changed! It's awesome to do it with an entire network of online friends too! You can go at your own pace too, if you feel like you don't have the time to keep up with it or if you are in the middle of other books.

Here is a little video about the book! :)

Who Needs a Sabbath; Bloom Book Club~

YAY! It's time for a new book!

Looking for a good book? Wish you had someone to join you...for example, an entire online community? Check out BLOOM book club. I have done 2 other books with this sweet group, Crazy Love and The Same Kind of Different as Me. Both books were incredible and life changing! I buy them both as gifts now for all my friends :) (I wrote about it a little bit here )

Jessica and Angie do such a great job leading us each week with video discussions about the previous chapters.

The next book is called Sabbath: Finding Rest, Renewal and Delight in Our Busy Lives Who doesn't need some of that!!

.

Angie wrote a great post about the (In)courage

Same Kind of Different as Me: Part Three from angie smith on Vimeo.

Here is the last video for this awesome book! Jessica and Angie have come up with a great idea on ways to share our story and hear how this book has impacted us. I can't even begin to put into words yet, just what this book has done in my heart.  I feel like I need to read it again, just so it can sink in one more time. I have watched every video clip I could find with Ron and Denver speaking. If you have not  yet checked this book out or you aren't familiar with the story, I encourage you to take some time to watch a short clip (or a long one: ) with Ron and Denver sharing a bit of their beautiful, yet gripping story.

Same Kind Of Different as Me!

I can't even begin to tell you what this book has stirred in my soul! I am completely captivated by what Ron and Debbie did, that I'm not even sure where to begin...except, "Lord, use me like that" I suppose that's all HE asks of us, right? BUT there was such determination and intention on their part, that I must figure out how to not miss those "key" opportunities. And when those opportunities arise, to not look at them as "projects" Denver is amazing! His discernment and insightfulness are incredible! He was a tender man under that thick skin and the Lord softened him right before Debbie's eyes. Debbie had a sweet relationship with the Lord. The fact that she recognized Denver from a dream...sweet! That makes me want that type of relationship..where HE speaks softly to me, whether in my ear, a dream or a tug of the heart! I want to HEAR Him! This book has left me wanting more, more, more! I love HIM so!
