Overwhelm Me!

God's grace,His presence and His POWER have been completely overwhelming me. Almost in a tangible way, where I can feel HIM pressing in to me. I have asked for simply MORE..MORE of Jesus. He needed to do a little work in this area called GRACE...giving Grace exactly. I began to see ways that I withold grace from certain people, in my own way. Often not too noticable, but it's there....He has given me new eyes to see those around me that need this grace and love spoken over them. This spoke to me and brought me to my knees!

Jesus dealt with the woman at the well without ever dealing directly with the issue of her living with a man who was not her husband. If I were Jesus, I would have made sure she understood the importance of getting out of that relationship of making things right. But in recording the story, the Holy Spirit seems to say to any who question this,"That's none of your business. You don't need to know whether Jesus dealt directly with that issue or not." Could this be because, knowing this woman had had five husands and was liviing wth a man to whom she as not married, she would have obviously been branded as an immoral woman whose only option to survive financially was thorugh prostitution? Could it be that Jesus was saying, "What the religious are concerned about, I'm not all that concerned about. And what the religious aren't concerned about, namely LOVE, concerns me to the utmost?" (John Courson's Application Commentary, New Testament)

I read this a few days ago, have shared it with many...I can't shut up about what HE has revealed to me. It's not my job to "help" them see their sin, It's my job to love them to Jesus and the Holy Spirit will do the rest! P-O-W-E-R-F-U-L!!

Wish I Could Hit Rewind!

Yesterday I had a parenting moment that I would like to quickly forget. An impatient moment, a quick, harsh word that brought tears to my sweet daughter's eyes quickly. Although, her words were careless, as well, I could've handled this tender heart in such a different way.  It breaks my heart to think about how my selfish,  ugly ways can spill out onto my kids! ugh! It all ended well, apologies, hugs and some time together eating dinner and watching her favorite tv show with her, under blankets on the couch. I still was sad and discouraged that it even happened!

This morning, during my prayer time,  I was really asking the Lord why that happened...what is still in me, from the "old" Tracy, that still oozes out every once in awhile? I know we are human, we are sinful, but I have died to this daily..impatient, harsh,  quick, rude words...I LET THAT GO ALREADY....Just last week I wrote about the verse in James that says BE SLOW TO SPEAK..we've been there, done that, LORD!  And then I read this....it was straight from the Lord!

Bring Me your weakness, and receive My Peace, Accpet yourself and your circumstances just as they are, remembering that I am sovereign over everything. Do not wear yourself out with analyzing and planning. Instead let thankfulness and trust be your guides through this day; they will keep you close to Me. As you live in the radiance of My Presence, My Peace shines upon you. You will cease to notice how weak or strong you feel, becasue you will be focusing on Me. The best way to get through this day is step by step with Me. Continue this intimate journey, trusting that the path you are following is headed for heaven!!!!

Wow, I love when He speaks to me so quickly and directly! These are the words I needed to hear from Him!  He is ALL that we need!

"Guard my words as your most precious possession… " Pr. 7:2 (LB)

* I have been a parent long enough to realize that we do have "not so good" parenting days and our God is gracious and our kids are too! This was more of a heart issue that I was not happy with and I needed some surgery, so to speak : )

Dance Hard til the End

i love the thought of starting a movement, having a movement started and watching a movement take form, watching people be unleashed to do what they were quite sure was impossible. Some words that i think of when i think of movement....to stir, to disturb, to move, to push, to change, TO NOT STAY THE SAME! when i watch this video, i can think of people that have come in and out of my life that i watch "start a movement" in fact, i immediately sent this to robin, telling her this had to have been her, somewhere, sometime! she was born to start a movement. she does nothing simple, including passionately loving jesus!

i don't view myself as being someone that can start the dance, that can figure out how to take the dream and get the move going but i do view myself as one of those first few that join in...the ones that say, i like this, i'm buying into this, i will join you, i will risk failing, looking different, be extreme, whatever those words that the pessimist comes up with....so i need people like this first "dancer" in my life, i thrive off of them...i pray for them to enter my life, inspire me and watching the movement take a life of it's own.

These are straight from carlos' blog: Check it out!

A few things I think we can learn from this video

.1. One man can start a movement.

2. A movement need not be started by the most skilled member of the
movement.

3. When beginning your movement and you look around and no one else is
joining the dance, just keep dancing.

4. When the one guy who joins your movement slowly fades away, keep
going.

5. Before you know it, the people joining your movement won’t even know you
started it.

6. When your movement takes a life of it’s own, just let go. There will be no
stopping it.

7. The very people who are staring at you like your nuts as you movement
alone, will be the very same people dancing the hardest in the end.

What's your next movement?
