God Lasts~Siesta Scripture Memory Verse

I have chosen a verse in Isaiah 40 to be my next memory verse for the next 2 weeks. I am going to be memorizing in the Message version. I have read this verse many times over the last few days. Everything in our life is so uncertain right now with our future at our home church, my husband's job, etc! But this verse is a reminder that no matter how weary we are, GOD NEVER, EVER gets weary! HE energizes us! WOW! Clinging to that, claiming that, shouting that and posting on my fridge, my mirror, my kids mirror and my forhead! ha!

God doesn't come and go. God lasts.

He's Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn't get tired out, doesn't pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts.
Isaiah 40:29 (Msg)

In other news, I am training for a half-marathon in April. This running thing is new to me. I never would've thought I could be a "runner" I'm not really. I have started running for about 2 months now with Darren and I love/hate it! I love how I feel when I'm done, ha! duh! But mostly, I love how I have gone from running 1.5 miles to at least 3-4 every other day and once a week I run 6-7. I will be actually starting my training on Feb. 1. Now to figure out the whole nutrition thing!! Any ideas for chronic leg cramps??

A few months ago my favorite Bible that I have been using for about 10 years, completely fell apart. SAD! I pulled out my one from college, that still had my maiden name on it, but I just couldn't get used to it. There's just something about "YOUR Bible" I noticed that I wasn't sitting down with it, open in my lap for quiet time very much and going straight to Biblegateway.com or reading the YouVersion on my phone. Those are both great but I greatly missed the quietness of having the Word open, on the couch, no technology...etc! All that to say, I came home from work the other day and it was FIXED..put back together. Darren worked his magic and it's like new! I LOVE IT! Funny how things like a familiar Bible, with your own writing and underlining and sidenotes etc can be hard to give up! Anyways, Happy girl!!

The rain is never ending here and I'm determined to not let it affect my mood, but it's soooo very hard! We thought we might get snow last week, which would've been a nice change. But we just got more of this!!

On my new phone I have the weather for our town, San Diego, where my son lives and LA where my brother lives...bad idea, doesn't help my outlook on these gray days! ha! Enough about that!
