A Part of my Advocare Story~

 ADVOCARE!!

I've been wanting to share a little bit of my story for awhile now and what better time to do it than NOW! Especially after the Thanksgiving holiday, when delicious food has been in may face all weekend! Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed every minute of it, but I've also been very careful about what I've shoved in my "pie hole" :) This is a new year, a different year for me...I wanted to share what has been going on in my life the last year.
Last winter, I ended up in the hospital after dealing with some health issues that come along with age, (hello, peri-menopause) We had just gone through two years of a crazy schedules and life disruptions, like kids going off to college, moving out of state, finding a new home and job and general life stresses, it all piled up and I found myself unhealthy…tired, sluggish, clothes not fitting right, workout routine nonexistent..and I had enough. I was familiar with Advocare and had been taking products on and off over the last few years. I had seen my husband completely change in front of me. His health, his energy, his workout habits and healthy eating all changed because of these amazing products he was putting in his body.  Once I made up my mind to take care of myself and bring fitness back into my life, I began to feel so much better. I decided to complete The 24 Day Challenge, and I was amazed by my results. I actually lost my “hitting mid 40’s” weight gain through AdvoCare Products, sensible eating and exercise. I have continued to change my body for the better with the consistent use of the products.  I also have a new strength in me, that I was lacking – a new belief, that I am WORTH it. I feel completely different than the person than the individual that was failing herself.  I have a new energy. Working out is now part of my routine, something that in the past I did not have the energy for, and I credit AdvoCare Performance Products with helping me to achieve my goal of a lean and healthy body.  I am using AdvoCare Products to supplement my diet, and have seen the proven results with other women just like me. I share these products with others not only because they have helped me begin a journey that includes health and fitness but because I BELIEVE IN THEM. I have seen time and time again others around me achieve amazing results through Advocare! Along with the health benefits come the financial benefits of this business. I love doing this with my husband, I love seeing people's lives changed and I love the extra income that it brings in each month. We are so blessed to be a part of this company!
Please let me know if this is something you are interested in hearing more about!! I would love to share it with you. Maybe you can relate to something I said or maybe it’s not for you, but do you know someone that could benefit from this?? Let’s talk!

Molly & Dad...Taken a few days before she left.
Molly has adjusted to her life in Nicaragua. It's almost surreal how easy it has been for her (and us) The biggest blessing has been our connection every day, via Facebook Message. Sometimes the messages are short and sweet and other times we can talk to her is if we are texting. There have been a few long Skype sessions too. She has stayed healthy for the most part and has a great host family that has taken her in.

She was made for this. I have learned so much from listening to her, watching her be bold in unknown situations and then reading and hearing about everything that God is showing her while on this trip. It is truly a divine gift that she can be a part of such a beautiful story! Her heart is beautiful and she shines the LOVE of Jesus! Please take a minute to read about her adventures!

She is There, We are Here!

How does a mom send their semi-adult child off to another country? Alone! Surely, many have done it.
This quiet, solid, tender child of mine has moved to Nicaragua for the next 16 weeks. Something deep in me tells me this country may steal her heart!

When Molly was 3, she woke up one morning and said, "Today, I will learn to tie my shoes" By the time that sweet, sassy face went to bed that night, she could tie both shoes and had no interest in her pink, light up- velcro tennis shoes ever again. When she was 4, she said, "Today, I will learn to spell my last name."  She and her older brother memorized those 11 letters by days end. (Tim was not going to be out done by his little sister.)When she was 5, she said, "Dad, today I'm going to learn to swim, will you teach me?" They swam all day and she never feared the deep water again. This is Molly. The still waters run deep with this girl.
I'm not sure why I was so surprised in the spring when she told us she felt like God wanted her somewhere else besides Azusa Pacific University, where she had a great freshman year. It seemed she may just be tired, overwhelmed and needed a good summer break. Why was I surprised when she said, "I'm going to Nicaragua" and she really followed through. A place she had never been and so random and out of the blue. So God like...Random, out of the blue and exciting! :) That was June. She boarded the plane, fully funded by generous family and friends, exactly 8 weeks later. Only by the grace of God.
I watched that long brown hair go through the security line and to her gate until I could no longer see her. Oh my heart!  My mom heart was shaking, my head spinning standing in that airport....I was sure I was putting my 5 year-old on a plane to another country. It took everything in me to keep from grabbing her and taking her home, safely with her parents.I know the girl we kissed good-bye will have her world and tender heart shaken to the core by what she experiences over the next 16 weeks.
I know this is JUST AS IT SHOULD BE. It still seems surreal. She is there and we are here!

Here is a little update from her first four days. Already amazing..already beautiful...already God is moving. HE is so gracious and loving in the way HE leads!

Nicaragua : I Am Here!: Well, I am here in Nicaragua! The last few days have been quite unexplainable. I do not even know where to start. Arriving in Nicaragua a...

Changing of Seasons

I believe I am done with my unplanned blog sabatical-ha!
When I took a break in March, I didn't think it would take
me nine months to come back to this place!
I'm excited to start sharing/writing again!
I kept thinking I would start up again in the new year,
but hey, why wait? No better time than Christmas!

Spring 2012
Some days I was sure I going to explode
-we were heading into the end
of Darren and I living in two different states for 9 months,
Molly graduating,
 moving our life to California,
Saying good-bye to family,
dear friends,
an awesome school and great job-
I was beyond ready-

SEASONS
what I was not beyond ready for
 was all the good-byes,
my girl graduating,
it taking a few weeks (or months) to readjust to living with
my husband, moving,
starting a new job and preparing for
our two oldest to move 6-8 hours south..going from a family of 5 to a family of 3.
I got the wind knocked out of me when things
seem to come to a screaming halt in August or September!
I found myself in a rut and I was in serious flight or fight mode!

NEW
through several conversations, tears, prayers,
old and new friends and my ever so patient husband
(and a great doctor and life-saver of a chiropractor/friend, ha)
as always, but not quickly, God's grace, love and patience permiated my soul,
He persued me through quiet, long, sleepless nights!
My greatest gift for me this fall was being dropped right into a small group of
7-8 girls that are sweet, loving, on fire, tender women that LOVE Jesus!
It was on a late,Monday night after Bible study that I am sure that
Jesus met me in a church parking lot-my soul was healed!
My heart was given a jolt, as if it's been hit with
 5 energy drinks-brrrriiiinnnggg it on!

Life
Let's move forward-
New opportunities
 new season
New Life-Abudant~

(Not always easy but always in the right time! )

The thief comes only to steal
and kill and destroy;
I have come that
they may have life,
and have it to the full.
John 10:10

Ready for the Advent Season!

Bravery

BRAVE: possessing or exhibiting
courage or courageous endurance.

-being brave can take us by surprise and leave
us with a new found faith and strength
that will put one foot in front of the other
and keep going...just one more more day!
BRAVE: whispers "I think I can, I think I can"
and makes it new words, "I KNOW I can"
BRAVE

“As we come to grips with our own selfishness and stupidity, we make friends with the impostor and accept that we are impoverished and broken and realize that, if we were not, we would be God. The art of gentleness toward ourselves leads to being gentle with others -- and is a natural prerequisite for our presence to God in prayer.” Brennan Manning, Abba's Child

Mercyme- The Hurt & The Healer

Jesus please don't let this go in vain
you are all I have, You are all that remains.

When Glory meets my suffering.
I'm ALIVE
even though a part of me has died
take my heart and breath it back to life~

I fall into Your arms open wide,
when the hurt and the healer collide!

Keep my eyes completely fixed on You
Take hold of me,

When Glory meets my suffering!
Fall into His arms open wide!

Mercy Me

A Few Gifts

A few gifts......

The Lord has been showing me
ways to "guard my heart"
a little better!
It determines the course of my life!
wow~

For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to
strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.
2 Chronicles 16:9

I want Him to see me, a heart FULLY committed to Him~
(not sometimes, not usually, not 90%, FULLLLLY)
