Journey

I think of this spot daily,
I want to come back.
I will soon,
I have much to say,
mind always going,
thoughts always swirling,
posts always put together,
never published, I record them, but don't share them,
words put on paper, to remember, FOR SUCH A TIME IS THIS,
He makes all things NEW, in HIS time!
I will be back, be patient, see you soon!

Many the Miles

Although I have been posting lately, when you read this, I am probably doing this with my feet, right now, while listening to some Jack Johnson on my ipod.................

and looking at this wide open road! We have 1200 miles, 3 states and many friends to see...pictures and updates coming soon!
I love Road Trips, don't you?
I've probably sung this song , by Sara Bareilles
many times since leaving home too...enough to make
my family crazy...or join in!

Critters Among Us

I could not quite figure out

why this bird feeder would empty

out so fast when I hadn't seen

many birds around.......

This is where that bird seed has

been going...I'm probably supplying

months of food for the squirrel!
One of our other "friends"

This is our back deck with a beautiful

delicious, green weed growing right

up onto the top of the deck,

THIS is why I don't do any weeding...

this cute rabbit would not come visit....

(yeah, that's "exactly" why I don't weed, wink)

The First 3 Days

Thinking......

Thinking about what project to start next...

baking, dancing,

spying on her older siblings, (dressed in black, including black beanie)

getting into her brother's bb guns,

making up a new dance, making "hard tack"

like the pioneers, making enchiladas with mom,

trying on every outfit her sister owns,

and not putting the clothes away,

setting up a tent with her brother and

then not sleeping outside in it all night,

start a load of laundry for her mom

(throwing all colors together..eek!)

re-arranging her room, going to get "coffee" with her dad,

start a new chapter book,

pack for vacation and organize everything in large freezer bags inside

her suitcase, talk mom into buying a blow up pool,

playing in it for hours, setting up a sprinkler

under the trampoline,

WOW, that makes me tired typing it all out!

This girl is never bored, never is lacking anything to do,

and constantly comes up with new and inventive ideas!

ALL IN THE FIRST THREE DAYS OF SUMMER!

I LOVE IT!

I LOVE THIS FACE!

Dance Hard til the End

i love the thought of starting a movement, having a movement started and watching a movement take form, watching people be unleashed to do what they were quite sure was impossible. Some words that i think of when i think of movement....to stir, to disturb, to move, to push, to change, TO NOT STAY THE SAME! when i watch this video, i can think of people that have come in and out of my life that i watch "start a movement" in fact, i immediately sent this to robin, telling her this had to have been her, somewhere, sometime! she was born to start a movement. she does nothing simple, including passionately loving jesus!

i don't view myself as being someone that can start the dance, that can figure out how to take the dream and get the move going but i do view myself as one of those first few that join in...the ones that say, i like this, i'm buying into this, i will join you, i will risk failing, looking different, be extreme, whatever those words that the pessimist comes up with....so i need people like this first "dancer" in my life, i thrive off of them...i pray for them to enter my life, inspire me and watching the movement take a life of it's own.

These are straight from carlos' blog: Check it out!

A few things I think we can learn from this video

.1. One man can start a movement.

2. A movement need not be started by the most skilled member of the
movement.

3. When beginning your movement and you look around and no one else is
joining the dance, just keep dancing.

4. When the one guy who joins your movement slowly fades away, keep
going.

5. Before you know it, the people joining your movement won’t even know you
started it.

6. When your movement takes a life of it’s own, just let go. There will be no
stopping it.

7. The very people who are staring at you like your nuts as you movement
alone, will be the very same people dancing the hardest in the end.

What's your next movement?

If We Only Lived By THE BOOK!

The End

School is officially out! The last two weeks have been filled with activities with my class and luckily my wonderful husband helped a ton! I even put him in charge of candle making with a group of 10 year old pioneers!Haley's making a "jacob's ladder"
The students were so unfamiliar with this
that they kept calling it "George's ladder"
Then Darren headed up the last
day of school outdoor games
for 4o 4th graders! Awesome!
The weather was perfect!

Goodbye School Year!

As I get older I realize the reality of the phrase "time flies" It seems I just wrote this post about the excitement of starting a new school year. It's time to take down the bulletin boards, clean out the desks and call it another year. It's been cool to look back at my journals the last 6-7 years and read what I have written the first day of school. So much anxiety goes into that day...no matter how many years are under your belt. This year has been amazing! What a blessed year I have had! Having my daughter in my class has been more fun than I would have ever thought. The added bonus was having her friends was awesome! Some of my closest friend's children were in my class. It was an easy year. No stress with behavior issues or challenges with parents! BLESSED, BLESSED, BLESSED this year! I will be extra sad to see this group move on : (

We have three days of school left and a long agenda!

A few days after school is out, we will be heading to California to my brother's wedding. I am so excited for this day that I can barely stand it! We have been shopping every spare minute to get the last details for the wedding. We are then heading to Arizona to visit D's family. We are looking for some melt your skin HOT weather...then back to CA for another wedding that Darren gets to perform... : ) Hoping to get some good days on the beach!

Sports are over, summer camps are on the calendar, my scrapbooking things are being dusted off and my pile of fun reading books is getting higher! CAN.NOT. WAIT for the lazy days of summer!

* D. surprised me with this thismorning

* And an added bonus of this
